My kids love parfaits. And I love making them because I can easily use what I have on hand to add into it. Parfaits are the little rebels of dessert. They just do what they want & no one can tell them otherwise. Ha! Seriously, though I love that they are easy to make & you can add whatever you like to them to dazzle them up a bit. Remember my Shrek-Approved parfaits with gummy worms & smashed cookies? The possibilities are endless which is exactly what makes these the quintessential kids dessert.
Make the Jell-O pudding as directed on the box. Once it’s firmed up & ready, in a small cup or jar, layer pudding & granola in as many layers as you desire. You can get as creative with it as you like. Thin layers or thick layers, or maybe you want to be a little fancy pants & pipe in your pudding with a plastic baggie. Of course, no parfait is really complete until it’s topped with Cool Whip! Add a dollop on top just before serving for a simple dessert with big impact. #AddCoolWhip
This dessert is perfect for kids because of it’s visual appeal, especially when you use clear cups to really show off those layers. They all don’t turn out like mine, I just added my pudding too early, ha! I know I will definitely have these one hand to welcome Collin home after his first day of school (Aiden will be with his Mama at her house, so he will get his later) for a special treat on his special day.
What are your kids’ favorite desserts? Do you think they would like these vanilla-licious parfaits?
