Prepare yourself, because I am about to rock your tastebuds with this recipe for a zesty, onion & bacon-filled, cheesy burger. The star of the show is the Kraft Natural Cheese Slices which melt perfectly onto the warm hamburger patty. If you are throwing a barbecue or party in the warm weather this year, you’ll be sure to impress if you whip up these savory cheeseburgers for your family & friends.
We picked up all of our ingredients, including the Kraft Naturals Slices from our local Walmart because not only can we find delicious foods & produce there, but we can also grab diapers & wipes at the same time. Hashtag Mom life.
2 to 2 1/2 pounds ground beef or turkey
Kraft Naturals Slices from Walmart, colby jack
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 eggs
green onion
2 to 3 tablespoons of minced garlic
bacon (save time & buy the precooked kind)
onion hamburger buns
If you bought pre-cooked bacon, warm it up as per directions on the box. If you bought regular bacon, cook it until crispy. Crumble bacon into small bits & set aside. Chop up 4-5 stalks of green onion into tiny pieces, combine with bacon. In a large bowl, combine bacon, green onion, ground beef, eggs, soy sauce, & minced garlic. until completely mixed together. Hands work best! Form beef mixture into patties. My 2.25 pounds of ground beef made approximately 12 small patties or 8 large patties. Grill on your backyard barbecue, fry them in a frying pan, or even use your indoor grill. We used our Foreman to help eliminate a bit of the fat & cooked three at a time on it. I prefer mine well done, I like a bit of crust on the outside of my burger patty. As soon as you remove each patty off the grill, place a slice of Kraft Naturals Slices on top while it’s good & hot so that it has time to melt on top of your burger. Place on toasted onion buns, add your favorite fixin’s & enjoy!

My onion-hater boys didn’t even notice the zesty veggie hiding inside their cheeseburger which made me excited to try to hide other veggies inside for future dinners. Shredded carrots? Zucchini? Broccoli? Oh, the possibilities for this sneaky Mom!
As you can see, the Kraft Naturals Slices melted perfectly into a harmonious pairing with our hamburger patties. My husband is a little weird when it comes to his melted cheeses & he loved how the Kraft Naturals Slices didn’t turn into an oily mess onto his burger. Hey, Kraft! Thank you for that! Because as we all know, cheese hater-ation is grounds for divorce.

Thankfully, we had some leftovers & are actually planning to eat them tonight. These would be great to make in larges batched & freeze for easy lunch/dinner on the go or for those nights when everything is crazy & you need a quick meal that will fuel everyone up & make them happy.
