Mini Style Wednesday is a weekly link up where child fashion takes center stage. Styling & helping my kids discover their fashion identity as they grow is one of my favorite parts about being a mother. Myself & Chelsea, from Chelsea Beeswax, co-host this weekly event where you can link up your kid fashion photos from Instagram or from your blog. Our goal is to inspire other parents & their kids to help express themselves through fashion & explore their personal style. Follow along with us each week & share your kid or baby style posts & Instagram photos.
hat: hand-me-down from Jacob; we aren’t sure where it came from originally
The Regular Show tee: Target
skinny jeans: c/o Osh Kosh for Kohl’s
slip-on shoes: Walmart
Personally, cartoon clothing is not my jam. I try to stay away from it because it doesn’t make well for hand-me-downs since often times the cartoons are dated or designs are bright & dare I say obnoxious. But sometimes a kid just wants to wear his favorite characters & I get that. Especially when it’s a cartoon that I secretly enjoy as well.
I try to keep the rest of the clothing neutral when using cartoon tees. For this ombre tee, I put Collin in some dark wash denim & cuffed the bottoms. It gives a more polished & put together feel. We also just tossed on some slip-on shoes & a brimmed beanie to give him a skater feel.
We would love to see you link up with us this week & share your child’s style. You can share via your own blog or you can link up your Instagram photos via the linky tool below. We would love it if you would grab our button & share it on your blog also!
