Sink Bath

October 10, 2013Holly Sosa
I’ve been anticipating sink baths for Evie for weeks now. Until this weekend, I haven’t been comfortable sitting her up in the sink. But sister child has her balance down & was ready to spread those wings & dive right into our sink. My back sang hallelujahs.
Bath time is Evie’s happy place. She is happiest splish splashing away & is content in the warm water until her wrinkles toes tell me it’s time to pull her out.
I posted on Instagram recently about her case of eczema. It’s progressively gotten worse as she gets older. We switched lotions & even laundry soaps, but nothing has seemed to help. We live in a dry climate, which only works against us as well.
Recently, we switched to Exederm, which is actually accepted by the National Eczema Association. The cleansing baby bath was so gentle & didn’t irritate Evie’s skin or her eyes. In fact, she had a diaper rash when I put her in the sink & when she came out it looked much less irritated & angry.
I used the flare control cream after her bath since she has a fairly large outbreak going on on her back right now. The red was gone within minutes. And the scaly, flaky skin was almost completely gone this morning. That was from one application! I could not have been more thrilled with the results.
I want to try their baby shampoo & intensive baby moisturizer next. She has an awful case of cradle cap that we have been battling since birth. I’d love to see how the shampoo helps with that.

Check out those wet curls. Her hair is getting longer & with the length, these sweet curls are coming in. If that doesn’t make you go all melty, I don’t know what will.

I highly recommend you check out Exederm products if your baby has dry skin or eczema issues. Or even if you aren’t battling these types of issues. Their products are free from fragrances, color/dyes, parabens, lanolin, SLS/SLES, propylene glycol, formaldehyde, phthalates. I know that all sounds confusing. You can learn more about why these ingredients are irritants & no bueno for skin here.
Baby Soap & Flare Control Cream was provided by Exederm. I was not compensated for this post. All thoughts & opinions are my own. I strive to provide my readers with authentic content & only post reviews for products I would actually use myself.
